Discovery Centre

This geothermic, climate controlled 18,000 sq. ft. Discovery Centre includes the Eco Gallery, Wildlife Education Centre, Reptile Exhibit, Naturally Yours Gift Shop, and the Blue Heron Cafe.

In need of a quick bite during your visit? The Blue Heron Café is located inside the Discovery Centre and offers casual, quick bites so you can spend more time enjoying the Park. From burgers to salads, and sweet treats, there’s something for everyone including vegetarian, vegan, and child friendly options.

The environment is important to us which is why you’ll only find biodegradable and compostable utensils and dishes at the café.

Discover the ecosystems of British Columbia! This interactive space features several species native to British Columbia including burrowing owls, western toads, pacific chorus frogs, and more.

 
Wild Treasures Gift Shop
 

Wild Treasures gift shop

More than just a souvenir shop, the Wild Treasures Gift Shop features local artisan’s products, clothing, jewelry, culinary delights, educational toys, reusable and sustainable items, and more! Every purchase assists with the BC Wildlife Park’s conservation efforts.

Reptile Exhibit

Located between Guest Services and the Gift Shop, see all of your favorite reptiles in one place! Many of British Columbia’s reptiles reside here, including the Western Rattlesnake, Rubber Boa, Gopher Snake, Western Terrestrial Garter Snake, Tiger Salamanders, and the Western Painted Turtle. Visitors can also learn about invasive species, such as the red-eared slider.

Interested in learning more about wildlife? Stop by our education centre to enjoy interactive activities, wildlife artifacts, and check our arachnids & insects including a Brazilian salmon pink tarantula, and giant prickly stick insects!

Do you have a young wildlife lover? Open during select times, children ages 5 to 13 can become a member of the Wildlife Rangers Pin Collectors Club!
