Each of these themed education days will include a customized education program, a live animal encounter, guided walks through the Park where we'll stop at various habitats to learn more about each animal, questions and answers with our education team or special guests, outdoor activities, train ride if available and a take home activity. Register your child for one day, or for the full session offered this year.

What time does wildlife camps start?

Camps run from 9:00am to 3:30pm. 

Drop off begins at 8:30am to 09:00am, and pick up is between 3:30 - 4:00pm.

The Camp will run from March 16 to 27th. You can choose to book your kids for as many days as you want.

What ages can attend?

Our camps are designed for ages 6 to 10.

What are the rates?

Single day - $55.00. Annual Pass holder day rate - $50.00

Please Note: Our new accessible and inclusive playground is currently under construction and is temporarily closed to the public. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

what are the dates and themes?

 Dates: march 16 to 27.

March 16th - "Seeing with Sound!"
Have you ever wondered how bats can catch insects mid-air in the dark? Discover the hidden world of echolocation and the diverse animals that use it.

March 17th - "Morty go Home!"
Where did Morty the tortoise come from? Investigate the origins of our pets and companion animals and learn how they are connected to animals in the wild.

March 18th - "Wild about Grasslands!"
Learn about one of BC’s most endangered ecosystems and the unique animals that live there. Explore the grassland habitats we call home in Kamloops and find out how you can help them.

March 19th - "Clothing Critters!"
The earliest example of true knitting was found in Egypt that was dated to roughly to 1000-1400 A.D. Delve into the history of fashion and how clothes evolved throughout the history of humans.

March 20th - "Fun with Fungi!"
Mushrooms, lichens, and molds, oh my! Come and explore the kingdom of funky fungi! Learn about the hidden lives of fungi and how they are connected with animals, plants, and the health of our ecosystems.

March 23rd - "Sea of Monsters!"
Welcome to another year of Camp Half-Blood! Get ready to learn about even more stories of Greek gods, heroes, and the most famous Cyclops, Polyphemus.

March 24th - "What’s That Smell?"
Are all noses equal? Let’s explore the diverse range of noses and how organisms sense, respond, and produce scents.

March 25th - "The Wonderful World of Whales!"
Blue whales can weigh up to the equivalent of 33 elephants and stretch out to almost the size of an official basketball court! Come and learn how these warm-blooded mammals live in the cold ocean waters.

March 26th - "Incredible Insects!"
Fruit flies were the first living organism sent into space! Butterflies taste with their feet! Caterpillars have 12 eyes! Explore the Class of Insecta and learn about the most diverse animal group in the world.

March 27th - "Where’s Waldo?"
Would you like the chance to find the Waldo of the BC Wildlife Park?
Join us for a chance to learn about the history and science behind the popular Waldo books.

how to book?

Please complete the online registration by clicking the purple button below. If you have concerns, call us at 250-573-3242 ext 226. 

Is lunch or snack provided?

No lunch or snacks are provided. We ask that parents pack both for their children. If your child has any allergies please note these on the camp registration form.

What does my child need for camp?

A large portion of kids camps are spent outside and children must be equipped to go outside rain, shine, or snow!

A bagged lunch, water bottle, clothing and weather dependent essentials ( ie. sun screen, bathing suit, towel and a change of clothing for Summer camps are required). 

Good, sturdy, footwear, please no flip flops or heelies.

To support an optimal learning environment, we kindly ask that all cellphones be left at home.
