Each of these themed education days will include a customized education program, a live animal encounter, guided walks through the Park where we'll stop at various habitats to learn more about each animal, questions and answers with our education team or special guests, outdoor activities, train raid if available and a take home activity. Register your child for one day, or for the full session offered this year.
Camps run from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Drop off begins at 8:30am, and pick up is between 3:30 - 4:00pm.
Our camps are designed for ages 6 to 10 and 11 to 15.

July 22 - Grasslands. Learn about one of BC’s most endangered ecosystems and the unique animals that live there. Explore the grassland habitats we call home in Kamloops and find out how you can help them. July 23 - Morty Go Home. Where did Morty the tortoise come from? Investigate the origins of our pets and companion animals and learn how they are connected to animals in the wild. July 24 - Seeing with Sound. Have you ever wondered how bats can catch insects mid-air in the dark? Discover the hidden world of echolocation and the diverse animals that use it.
August 5 - Wildlife Forensics Unleash your inner detective! Learn about how forensic science is used to stop wildlife crime, then put your skills to the test to solve a major mystery!
August 6 - Bioluminescence From the seas to the skies, learn about incredible animals who can glow in the dark! Explore the world of bioluminescence, and how this adaptation aids in survival. August 7 - The Secret Lives of Sharks How much do we really know about sharks? They are some of the most misunderstood creatures in the world, but they play a critical role in our marine ecosystems. Learn all about sharks and their relatives, and how we can help protect the world’s oceans. August 8 - Zoology Lab Do you aspire to be an animal scientist? Become a junior zoologist for the day and learn all about the inner workings of animals and their environments.
July 30 - Youth Naturalists. Connect with nature and contribute to conservation all while having fun! From birding to rockhounding to plant identification, try out a variety of nature-based activities and learn how to use your hobbies for good. July 31 - Wild Invaders. From animals to plants to microorganisms, there are invaders among us! Invasive species threaten the survival of our native ecosystems, and it’s up to us to stop the spread. Learn how to identify common invasive species in your area and how we can help protect our native wildlife.
August 13 - The Edge of Extinction Do you want to help endangered species? Learn about the BCWP’s burrowing owl breeding program and other conservation efforts and gain hands-on experience in researching and monitoring endangered wildlife. Meet our burrowing owl ambassadors and some of the people who help their species return to the wild. August 14 - Marine Biology Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a marine biologist? Step into the field for the day and see for yourself! Learn about animals under the sea, get some hands-on practice in research methods, and find out how you can help save our seas.

No lunch or snacks are provided. We ask that parents pack both for their children. If your child has any allergies please note these on the camp registration form.
A large portion of kids camps are spent outside and children must be equipped to go outside rain, shine, or snow!
A bagged lunch, water bottle, clothing and weather dependent essentials ( ie. sun screen, bathing suit, towel and a change of clothing for Summer camps are required).
Good, sturdy, footwear, please no flip flops or heelies.
