Each of these themed education days will include a customized education program, a live animal encounter, guided walks through the Park where we'll stop at various habitats to learn more about each animal, questions and answers with our education team or special guests, outdoor activities, train ride if available and a take home activity. Register your child for one day, or for the full session offered this year.
Camps run from 9:00am to 3:30pm.
Drop off begins at 8:30am to 09:00am, and pick up is between 3:30 - 4:00pm.
The Camps will run on different dates: July 14 to 16. July 28th to 30. August 11 to 13 & August 25 to 27.
You can choose to book your kids for as many days as you want.
Our camps are designed for ages 6 to 10.
Single day - $55.00. Annual Pass holder day rate - $50.00

Learn how animals in human care have engaged in art as enrichment! July 16th - "WildLIES" Have you ever been told that owls can spin their heads all the way around? Or that snakes can unhinge their jaws? Discover the truth behind these wildlies and what inspired these popular myths!
July 28th - "Animal Architecture!" Did you know that the World’s Largest Beaver Dam can be found right here in Canada? This dam in Wood Buffalo National Park can be seen by satellites in space! Let’s discover what other structures can be made in the wild! July 29th - "The Ugly Duckling!" The Ugly Duckling is a fairy tale that has stood the test of time! Let’s discover the many hidden secrets of the Swan Pond and the history of the 2 swan residents, George and Ralph Edwards! July 30th - "Spooky Skeleton!" We’ve all got bones, but what do they all do? Learn all about the human skeleton, vestigial bones, and investigate how to compare our bones to other animals!
August 11tth - "Block Biodiversity!" Follow Aquafina the Axolotl and other cubical creatures as we study what makes the animals from Minecraft so special! August 12th - "Communication Strategies!" Did you know that bearded dragons will do push-ups to scent mark? Learn how animals communicate through body language, sound, colour, scent, and much more! August 13th - "Minorly Misunderstood!" The Madagascar Hissing Cockroach can mimic the sound of a hissing snake! There are at least 30,000 species of wasps! Let’s understand the important roles of the creepy-crawlies in the world!
August 25th - "The Secret Lives of Sharks" How much do we really know about sharks? They are some of the most misunderstood creatures in the world, but they play a critical role in our marine ecosystems. Learn all about sharks and their relatives, and how we can help protect the world’s oceans. August 26th - "Ice Age Meltdown" Learn about the Ice Age in the Pleistocene period! Come explore the unique and extinct animals from this time including the mammoths, sabertoothed cats, and much more! August 27th - "Wildlife Forensics" Unleash your inner detective! Learn about how forensic science is used to stop wildlife crime, then put your skills to the test to solve a major mystery!

No lunch or snacks are provided. We ask that parents pack both for their children. If your child has any allergies please note these on the camp registration form.
A large portion of kids camps are spent outside and children must be equipped to go outside rain, shine, or snow!
A bagged lunch, water bottle, clothing and weather dependent essentials ( ie. sun screen, bathing suit, towel and a change of clothing for Summer camps are required).
Good, sturdy, footwear, please no flip flops or heelies.
