Kamloops is home to an many amazing wildlife species, including the iconic black bear. June 3rd is National Black Bear day, and we invite you to celebrate and learn about this incredible species with us, in partnership with the City of Kamloops' EcoSmart Team.

The EcoSmart team will be ready with tips to manage wildlife / bear attractants around your home. Colouring stations and bear themed touch tables will also be available throughout the day.
Question and answer sessions with Zookeeper Dannielle will take place at 10:00am at the black bear habitat, and 1:00pm at Clover the kermode bear's viewing platform.
Conservation through Education is our motto, and Educators Brandi and Dakota can't wait to present "The Bear Necessities" all our guests; however, although all ages are welcome, please note this education program is primarily designed for ages 0-12. Visitors will have two opportunities to enjoy the presentation at 11:00am and 1:00pm in the outdoor classroom located on the Great Lawn.
